Programme Administrator – Autism Education Trust

Salary - £17409 - £18619 Pro-rata

Temporary Contract until 31st March 2013 with the possibility of extension

Based: Islington, London.

Part-time position: 21 hours a week

A skilled administrator is required to provide support to the Board, Director and Project Manager.

The Autism Education Trust (AET), funded by the Department for Education is an independent umbrella organisation that brings people together across the autism sector to co-ordinate and improves the education of children on the autism spectrum in England. It is hosted by the NAS who employs AET staff.

The NAS is the charity for the 500,000 people in the UK with autism and their families. We provide information, support and pioneering services, and campaign for a better and fairer world for people with autism.

Working as part of the Autism Education Trust team, you will provide administrative, co-ordination and other support to the AET Project Board, Expert Reference Group, AET Director and Project Manager.

You must be a self-starter and an experienced PA or administrator with excellent communication skills. A willingness to learn about autism and its impact on the family is essential.

This is a temporary contract until 31st March 2013 with the possibility of extension.

Applications are sought from all suitably qualified sections of the community but particularly welcome from those with a diagnosis of autism or Asperger syndrome.
