19th February 2009The Autism Education Trust (AET), England’s only umbrella organisation for autism education, launches England’s most comprehensive website dedicated to autism education today (26 February 2009) at its first National Conference at Central Hall in Westminster. The website carries information tailored for education practitioners and professionals, parents / carers of those on the autism spectrum as well as a KidsZone for children and young people on the autism spectrum and their friends and siblings.

22nd October 2009 The AET is holding a one day conference presenting a range of keynote speakers and practical workshops sessions. The event will focus on "transition", which is a crucial issue in the education of children and young people on the autism spectrum. The event is aimed at all those working in the autism education sector, the schools workforce, local authority representatives, health professionals as well as adults and young people on the spectrum and their parents and carers. As well as the wide range of speakers and workshops the event will provide an opportunity to share experiences and good practice in autism education.
