NASEN conference on autism Friday 12th June

 09/06/09
Places are still available for the special conference ‘Understanding and supporting the child on the autism spectrum’ in Torquay on Friday 12th June.

This one-day conference is aimed at teaching staff and anyone working with or likely to work with children and young people on the autistic spectrum. The keynote presentation will be delivered by Mary Daly who was the Programme Lead in the creation of the new autism specific resources under the Inclusion Development Programme (IDP), as part of the National Strategies.

The conference looks at how to approach the complex challenges posed by autism and how to develop teaching skills to support the needs of children and young people on the autistic spectrum. The day is split into several workshops created specifically for teaching staff working with those on the autistic spectrum.

The event is organised by NASEN and supported by the AET and the National Autistic Society. NASEN is the leading organisation in the UK focused on promoting the education, training, advancement and development of all those with special needs and disabilities.
