New ‘The Den’ packs for schools

Look out for information packs about The Den from the AET this spring. We will be sending all secondary schools in England information packs containing a new range of resources designed specifically for young people on the autism spectrum. The packs highlight the advice, information and support available on The Den on a wide range of issues affecting young people today.

Each pack includes:

  • A DVD of some of the short films available to view online in The Den
  • An information poster for school noticeboards
  • 'Z-cards’ to give to pupils with autism who would benefit from the information contained on The Den (these credit-card sized information leaflets are designed to be discrete and fit inside wallets or purses)

The packs are designed to complement the AET’s online information hub for young people with autism (it is not a social networking site) – The Den. The Den aims to address some of the questions, issues and worries that all young people face, but presents the information in ways that appeal to young people with autism, using visual content to communicate information rather than pure text.

If you would like to receive a pack, please send your contact details to info@autismeducationtrust.org.uk with ‘The Den pack’ in the subject line. Additional packs and pack contents will be available on request.
