As part of the new AET training programme, the Autism Centre for Education and Research (ACER) at the University of Birmingham has been appointed to develop a set of National Autism Standards. We aim to raise standards in autism education, providing a route to further qualifications. The University of Birmingham was also the successful bidder to develop the Competency Framework, which will be closely linked to the Autism Standards. The Standards are currently being piloted across a range of schools and settings.
If you would like to take part in the consultation process on these, please complete the form here. Consultation will end on the 6th of March. The final Standards will be available on-line and downloadable by the end of April 2012.
