AET schools introduction to the autism progression framework

March 1 @ 2:30 pm - 5:30 pm GMT

Free

The AET schools autism progression framework is a comprehensive interactive assessment tool for pupils on the autism spectrum.  This half-day session is suitable for practitioners working with school-age pupils on the autism spectrum in both mainstream and specialist services.

It is designed to support staff in identifying learning priorities and measuring progress in areas which fall outside the national curriculum. These areas relate closely to autism ‘differences’ as identified within other AET materials and the impact of these on pupils’ social, emotional, independence and learning needs.

Participants will develop:

  • Understanding of how the progression framework relates to the broader educational context
  • Familiarity with the content and key features of the progression framework
  • Skills in identifying learning goals and measuring progress for pupils on the autism spectrum in areas specific to their individual needs
