Half day training for school leaders: SENCOs; Teachers; HLTAs; Lead Practitioners, on using the new AET Progression Framework to monitor and report on progress made by autistic pupils in non-curricular or academic areas. These areas include: emotional understanding and self-awareness; social interaction; sensory processing; coping with change and a range of other areas.
Participants will develop:
- An understanding of how the progression framework relates to the broader educational framework
- Familiarity with the content and key features of the progression framework
- Skills in identifying learning goals and measuring progress in pupils with autism in areas specific to their individual needs
- The progression framework will give practitioners the information they need to record and report progress, prepare for planning meetings, MAP meetings, Next Steps etc
This half day course is appropriate for practitioners working with autistic pupils in either mainstream or specialist settings
