Private: AET Schools Making Sense of Autism 04.06.19 – Enfield Schools

The making sense of autism training will give you a better understanding and awareness of autism and the way it affects pupils in School.

Who is this training for?

The training is for all staff working within a school-age education setting, mainstream schools, special schools and specialist services.

This includes teachers, teaching assistants, transport staff, lunchtime staff, senior management, governors, service staff such as administrators.

What will you learn?

 

  • The four key areas of difference that need to be taken into account and how to identify them.
  • The importance of understanding the individual pupil and their profile of strengths and areas of development.
  • The key areas to help pupils on the autism spectrum build positive relationships with staff, peers families and people in the community.
  • An awareness of the sensory and communication differences that pupils may experience.

 

Please Note: This training is only available to staff from Enfield schools and academies.

There are no charges to Enfield schools or academies, as EASA’s core training programme is funded by Enfield Council via the SEN Outreach Provision Budget and the High Needs Block funding.
