This course aims for attendees to develop a solid understanding of autism combined with practical strategies and resources for all practitioners working directly with autistic children in early years settings. This includes teachers, SENCos, childminders and nursery nurses/assistants.

This training will:

  • Enable practitioners to develop their knowledge and understanding of good autism practice.
  • Provide guidelines and activities to help practitioners to improve their practice when caring for or working with a child on the autism spectrum.
  • Introduce practitioners to the Early Years Autism Competency Framework to evaluate and develop how they work

Course Duration

This training is delivered in 2 x 3-hour sessions.
