The STARS Team is the NAS Accredited, Autism Outreach and Advisory Service for Leeds. We are commissioned by the Autism Education Trust to deliver AET training to schools and early years settings across Yorkshire and Humberside.

Description

For tier 3 training it is expected that participants have had some autism awareness training. In addition, you should have a leadership / management role within your setting and be in a position to lead on and influence school development and improvement

Outcomes

This course aims to…

  • To enhance participants knowledge and understanding of good autism practice
  • To help participants question, evaluate and develop practice within their setting
  • To provide participants with the tools to evaluate their own knowledge of autism, to audit staff training needs and to gain an overview of whole setting practice
