The AET and its network of training partners are working with Ambitious about Autism, the national charity for children and young people, to offer a series of free training opportunities across England.
Our training demonstration events offer an opportunity to take part in an AET post 16 training session and learn more about accessing a national training programme for professionals working in post 16 education. The AET post 16 programme is supported by the Department for Education (DfE), has been independently evaluated and found to improve staff confidence and skills when working with young people on the autism spectrum.
Each event will include face–to–face training led by an experienced practitioner in the field of autism education. At each event, you will also receive information about the AET’s growing partnership network, commissioning training from an AET training provider in your area and how your organisation can become a training partner with the AET.
The events will be valuable if your role involves commissioning or managing education provision for young people with autism and SEND (on behalf of a local authority or service provider) or if you would like to learn more about effective strategies and best practice when working with young people on the autism spectrum.
Please follow the below link to our next event and learn more about what we’ll be covering during the day. Spaces are limited and taken quickly, so book now to avoid disappointment.
