Sometimes it can be hard to concentrate. Here are some tips and techniques that might help you focus:
- Being tired, hungry or thirsty can interfere with your ability to concentrate so make sure you get enough sleep, eat a good breakfast and drink water throughout the day.
- Make a daily list of everything that you need to do either on paper or on your computer. Tick activities off as you do them so you can see you are making progress.
- Set diary reminders on your computer for every task or activity that needs to be done, so that you don’t have to think about what you need to do next.
- If you are really struggling to concentrate, or have been distracted by something else that has come up, get up and go and do something completely different. Set yourself a very specific and short time slot for this break. This will help you to go back to work or study with a fresh mind.
