What is a mentor?
A mentor is someone who can act as a guide for you at work or university. They could be a member of staff or a student.
A mentor is different to a line manager or a friend. They are not able to help you with social or personal problems, but could help you carry out a certain task or activity related to work or your university course.
A mentor can also help you manage other support mechanisms that you might need. For example, they could show you:
- How to manage your DSA.
- How to mange and prioritise your workload.
- Information or activities that will help you complete your education or do well in the workplace.
