Tool 8: Parent Questionnaire

This Tool looks at the importance of effective communication with parents/carers of autistic pupils. This Tool can be used as a starting point to communicate with parents/carers of a pupil who is, or you think may be, autistic.

This Tool will help you to:

1. Open channels of communication with parents/carers
2. Provide the opportunity for parents and carers to feel understood and have input into their child’s wellbeing and development
3. Understand your pupil’s strengths and differences better within their home environment and to adapt strategies from home into reasonable adjustments within school
